Abstract: The discovery of biological clock has changed many established concepts and hypotheses in pharmacology and medicine. Diseases borne due to disturbances or deregulation of biological clock are set right only by setting the clock right. There are many natural and life style factors which deregulate the clock. Recently many chronotherapeutic drugs were discovered and tested. This review throw light on such problems.

Abstract: Neurotrophic Factors (NTF) are a family of biomolecules consist of small proteins and peptides identified as Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), glial cell line–derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) family ligands, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BNDF), and neuropoietic cytokines. They are essential for the differentiation, survival, and growth of neurons and glia cells in all stages of brain development dendrittic pruning, , patterning of innervations, axon growth and induction of the proteins vital for normal functioning of ion channels and neurotransmitters. Neurotrophic factors promote the development and initial growth of neurons in both nervous systems-the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS)s. They have regenerate and repair neurons in lab and in situ experiments. Neurotrophic Factors also promote and induce synaptic plasticity, and modulate the creation of the long-term memory. They have been also implicated potentially in the treatment neurodegenerative diseases such as MS (Multiple sclerosis), AD ( Alzheimers disease) and PD ( Parkinson’s disease). Application of herbal drugs. In the present review effects of plant products on neurotrophic factors is discussed. The experimental evidences reported strengthen the hypothesis that plant extracts are useful modulators of neurotrophic factors and thus could be useful in treatment of CNS diseases, without high side effects. Further clinical studies are mandatory to confirm these studies.

There is much to be learnt from our ancestral human culture. We learn from cyclic crisis, and we learn how those crises are soon to be followed by greater advances and developments. We also learn from cyclic pandemics that bring new promising medical discoveries and better scientific development.
